Hilton R.I. Hartnick is the Founder and Managing Director of HRIH Investments. Privacy is not a feature we offer. It is the non-negotiable foundation of every relationship we hold. The following charter governs how HRIH Investments conducts itself in relation to every client — without exception, and without revision based on convenience.

Non-Disclosure Agreement — Standard on Every Engagement
A binding Non-Disclosure Agreement is signed by HRIH Investments before any client information — financial, personal, strategic, or otherwise — is shared with us. This is not optional and is not waivable. The NDA is governed by South African law and enforceable in any jurisdiction that recognises SA contract law. We do not begin work without it.

Fiduciary Duty — Your Interests Above All Others
HRIH Investments acts in a fiduciary capacity toward every client. This means we are legally and ethically bound to act in your best interests — not our own, not those of third parties, and not those of any other client. We do not accept engagements that create material conflicts of interest, and we disclose any potential conflicts proactively and immediately.

Client Identity — Never Disclosed Without Consent
We do not confirm, deny, or reference the identity of any client — past, present, or prospective — to any third party without explicit written consent. We do not name-drop. We do not use client relationships as marketing material. The testimonials in this document were provided voluntarily by clients who chose to be identified.

Encrypted Communications — All Sensitive Material
Sensitive financial documents, strategic materials, and confidential correspondence are transmitted exclusively through encrypted channels. We do not email confidential documents without encryption. For clients who require it, secure file transfer and communication protocols are standard. No sensitive information is ever transmitted through unsecured channels.

Regulatory Compliance — POPIA, AML, KYC
HRIH Investments is fully compliant with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Anti-Money Laundering legislation, and Know Your Customer requirements applicable to financial services providers. We collect only what we need, we store it securely, and we do not share it. International clients are subject to the same protections without exception.

Working with HRIH from Abroad

All HRIH engagements can be conducted entirely remotely — from initial NDA through to ongoing advisory delivery. International clients have found our WhatsApp-first communication model particularly effective: real-time, personal, and free of the delays inherent in email-based advisory.

Fees may be settled in USD or EUR equivalents at the prevailing SARB rate. All documentation is produced bilingually (English) and can be adapted for international legal and regulatory contexts where required. For commodity and travel mandates, Hilton travels internationally where the engagement warrants it.
